The Tallyman is the twisted preacher of Nurgle's Sevenfold Doctrine, a specialist warrior who stalks the battlefield with mouldering scrolls, frenzied tallies, and a death's head abacus, obsessively counting every spent shell, every wound inflicted, every scream of agony and every fly buzzing in the fetid air. For seven is the sacred, unholy number of the Plague God — the integer infectum — and Primarch Mortarion's obsession with it borders on the manic, infecting every level of his Legion. When a Tallyman's count aligns with Nurgle's blessed numeral, empyric energy surges through the souls of the Death Guard, spurring them to greater feats of plague-ridden slaughter.
